Chapter 5

January 11th, 2010: So I ended up telling Adam that I had a dream about him. He didn’t want to hear it as soon as I said, “Adam, I had a dream about you.” He just told me that it was typical of me because I want him. ALL LIES! Never have I ever been taken seriously by Adam. If I told him my dream, he’d probably be upset because he’s Spanish in it. Telling Zachary that he was in my dream hasn’t even crossed my mind until now. It’d probably be a bad idea anyway. He’d probably yell at the top of his lungs, “ASIAN?!” So I ended up telling Justin, even if he did laugh through most of it. I told him that I didn’t know what to do. The best advice he gave me was, “Well, if this does keep happening, you should just ask ‘Miles’ why he’s doing this to you.”

“You know what, that sounds like a good plan,” I said.
“Good, I hope I don’t show up in your dreams. And if I do, I better not be black,” Justin said.

After the whole day flew by, I went to sleep at around 11pm. Early, finally. I didn’t know what to expect now since last night Zachary entered my dream. If this whole thing is truly a dream I should be able to control it. I thought really hard; make Justin black, make Justin black. Then several knocks at the door and a phone call at the same time.

“MAROBY!” several boys were yelling outside my door.

I picked up the phone at the same time as I opened the door. “Hello?” I answered the phone. I didn’t get a chance to hear what the person on the phone was saying because when I opened the door, Olly picked me up, put me on his shoulder and dragged me out of my room. Hunter closed the door and they had someone else with them. A black guy.
“JUSTIN!!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs and started laughing like crazy!

I’m guessing that this was Nelson, the guy that Hunter mentioned. Then I focused back on the phone even with Olly carrying me.

“Hey, sorry. Who’s this?” I asked.
“It’s Miles. We need to talk,” he said.
“Can’t. Olly’s carrying me somewhere. Oh BY THE WAY MILES. I’m not gonna regret anything tonight because this is MY dream,” I said to him.
“Don’t be too sure about that kid. You may be able to control some things, but I control you,” he hung up.

I didn’t understand what he meant by that, but I became very paranoid. Olly dragged me outside to McDonalds. Gross. It was late and I was still in my pajamas. I didn’t understand why they were doing this to me. Olly finally set me down.

“There. Go hump him or something,” Olly said.
“What? What are you talking about?” I asked.
“Ethan! Who else? You guys were suppose to go on a date, but you were about to bail,” Nelson said.
“We’re not letting you do that, and then crying about it later, so suck it up and go,” Olly said.

Spotting Ethan wasn’t too hard. There was only one young guy in the place aside from Olly, Hunter and Nelson. Ethan was a really hot red head. I still have good taste even in my dreams. So, I pushed the guys away and ran over to sit next to Ethan.

“Hey you,” I said to Ethan.
“Hey, I was wondering if you were going to show up,” Ethan said.
“Well, I’m here. I don’t know why here, but I am. We should go to my dorm,” I said.
“Dorm? I thought you lived in an apartment,” he said.

His voice sounded so familiar. Dark, mysterious and…LEUKE. Wow, I wanted to take back the words I said.

“Uh, …ow, ow. My stomach. I’m gonna go to my room. I’ll text you later or something,” I told him, running out.

I knew those boys were going to chase me down though, so I went through another exit. I bumped into Miles though.

“Whitney, we need to talk,” he said.
“You just called me Whitney,” I said in shock.
“If I don’t get what I want, you’ll suffer. Just thought you should know,” he said.
“…Just thought I should know? JUST THOUGHT I SHOULD KNOW?!”
“Now hang on Whitney,” he interrupted me.
“FUCK YOU ADAM, I DON’T NEED YOU TO DO THIS TO ME! I’M GOING TO BED AND GOING TO SLEEP!”

I ran to my room and jumped in my bed. Then I heard a knock on the door.

        “Whitney, please,” Adam said.
“ADAM, I MEAN MILES GO AWAY!” I yelled.
“Whitney, at least open the door,” he said.

I got annoyed and opened it so he could at least explain himself. He was back to his normal self. No longer Hispanic and super tall as usual.

“Just hear me out,” Adam said.
“Tomorrow Adam, I feel like I haven’t slept in days,” I said.
        “But,” I interrupted him.
“No, Adam. Give me at least five hours. I can’t handle this,” I said.
“Fine, but this is the only night,” he vanished.

    I slept like a baby.
